My name is Naijun Chen, I am a graphic designer studying at Missouri State University in Springfield, while also practicing digital illustration parallel to my studies.
I was born in China and immigrated to the US during my early teenage years, giving me a unique, multicultural perspective. As such, my design focuses on universal communication and readability, taking care to not lose any character in the process. I am interested in designs of brands and logos, and how information and identities are condensed into one recognizable element.
Online, I have practiced digital art during my own time, and have taken on commission works to render client's characters in my own style. My style built on the basic technical skills taught in my earlier classes and was developed on its own, creating a unique fusion of flat color and dynamic lighting.
